I’m almost at the end of my Chinese New Year trip to Kuching, Sarawak. Currently third day of CNY and we sort of already ran out of people to visit.

Usually there would be like heaps of people that we’d have to visit each year. Actually, normally we would go to Sibu as well but since my uncle and my grandparents (mom’s side) are currently in KL, we figured we’d spend the rest of our CNY in KL.

But I’m working tomorrow and on Friday as well. Hopefully Su-Ann is nice and gives me a 6 hour shift instead of 8. She mentioned the other day that they had an overload of staff.

Working in Starbucks in fun and tiring I guess. I’m still the new guy so I’m mostly in charge of making blended drinks and cleaning the tables a.k.a ‘buzzing’. The kind of thing no one really wants to do.

It’s not too bad, actually. The only boring part is doing the dishes.

Some people just don’t know how not to make a complete mess out of their cake.

I’ve met some really really nice people as I’ve probably mentioned in the earlier post. So because of my manager, I have now memorized the ‘recipes’ for all the blended drinks. Hoorah!

Some people have visited me. Which is nice. Sort of makes my day if you know what I mean. But sadly, most of the time they come during peak hours so I barely have any time to talk to them.

To those who have visited me – u da man.

I better be going out somewhere clubbing or something on Friday night. It’s been a long long time.

Haven’t done much lately, but what I have accomplished is jailbreaking iOS 5.0.1 on my phone!

Notification centre, finally. But the rumours were true: the battery life is shiiiiiit.

It’s now 6.16pm and we’re scheduled to leave the house at 7pm and I still have to shower after my dad finishes. Shouldn’t be too long now.

Apparently the plane that we’re going to be flying in is supposed to fly in from KL but it’s been delayed (according to my cousin because he’s on that flight). So we’re not so sure whether our flight is delayed or not.

AirAsia’s website says it’s on time and I somehow don’t trust it 100% but there’s nothing else we can do.

Anyway, shower time.

Once again, it’s been some time hasn’t it?

Mostly due to me going out almost every single day, pulling all nighters then sleeping all day.

Cos I’m cool like dat.

Well anyhoo, my mom managed to get be a job in Starbucks in Pyramid because she has ‘connections’ and so I was employed as a part time casual worker.

What I expected to be doing (because I was told this) was to be cleaning up the cafe – like doing dishes, clearing the mugs/cups, sweeping.

And stuff of that sort.

Today was my first day at work (excite!) and the first thing I learnt was how to make a Mocha Frappucino.

Su Ann (my boss) exploded with information on how to do this and that and being me, I only managed to pick up half of what she said.

Eventually I got the hang of things. Met some nice nice people who taught me how to do more stuff (make more drinks).

At first I was kinda bummed out about not being a barista but I ended up spending half of my shift (which is 7 hours long) making drinksies (:

It was fun, and tiring.

Su Ann’s number one rule is to never not do anything. So my ‘colleagues’ (I have colleagues now!) told me that if I had nothing to do then I should pretend to wipe some tables.

I even resorted to arranging the mugs and stuff that were on display because she assigned be to 1 hour of ‘Cafe duty’ – aka clean up the cafe.

So I roughly know how to make most of the drinks with the guidance of some very nice people.

But it’s been a long long long day of standing,walking around and blending frappes.

Ai shood goe tu bed soon.

I think I’ve declared myself an insomniac. Well, partially.

Rolled around and around in bed for about an hour and a half until I decided to put on Ingrid Michaelson to sing me to sleep.

And work it did. I shall do the same tonight.

Oh and if I haven’t told you yet, Justin lent me his USB mic for a day and I recorded two thingies – a cover of another K-Pop song aaaanddd ‘Put My Friends In A Blender’!!

It’s been a couple of days hasn’t it? You didn’t miss much anyway.

Actually, I’ve been through quite a lot but I probably won’t elaborate much because Liverpool are going to play Man City in 15 minutes so I’ll just make this one a quickie. Soz.

So I came back from Miri on the evening of New Year’s Eve.

I enjoyed it, I think. Arrived first day, did nothing. Second day, slept most of the day.

Had to wake up at 6am on Saturday morning because I was my cousin’s ‘best man’ and had to escort him to his wife-to-be’s house/extremely huge hotel suite – because she’s from New Zealand (but born in China).

Waking up at 6 was a lot easier than I had expected. Probably because of the air of urgency around the house.

Went over with two of his other friends and we had to do all these ‘challenges’ (decided by the bridesmaids) before we could get to the bride’s room. Sort of like tradition for Chinese weddings nowadays.

Speaking of Bridesmaids, has anyone seen the movie? Don’t. It’s horrible.

Was pretty tired by the time we got to open the door. Then we escorted her back to our place and had the tea ceremony and yada yada yaa (look it up if you wish).

Lunch. Big lunch. Then had a two hour nap.

Then we had another big formal dinner at night and I had a ‘confetti firework thing’ go off in my face thanks to some guy from the bride’s side not knowing how to use it.

Only confetti. No worries. Otherwise I’d punch him. If I could. Nah, I wouldn’t. You don’t think of me as someone who’d ruin a wedding, do you? Of course not.

Silly you.

Sooooo, I had the ‘honor’ of going around to each and every table with them to ‘yam seng’ and drink and drink and drink. Wine + Beer = Yay.

I don’t like beer that much anymore. Not since Centurion.

Flew off in the afternoon the day after and got home around evening-ish.

There was a party/gathering going on at one of my neighbour’s place but I convinced my parents to let me go hang out at Ken’s.

A lot of new faces. People I didn’t know. Was kind of awkward at first – until I got drunk.

We introduced them to our Aussie drinking games (Cross the River and King’s Cup/Circle of Death).

So by the end of the night, we were all buddies. Oh and I played Battleshots with Phil!

Go look it up on 9GAG if you haven’t heard of it. Izawwsome.

Decided to drive back at around 6ish. Sooo bad. Somewhere along the night, I decided to top up what was left of my Smirnoff with Midori.

Worst idea – ever.

It tasted good, and so I kept filling it with more Midori and kept drinking.

I couldn’t gauge how drunk I actually was until I actually started driving.

Took almost an hour to get home. And when I finally did, I changed out of my fancy clothes and KO-ed right away.

Thing is, I was still intoxicated and as I’ve learnt – it’s not good to sleep in that state.

Ended up waking up multiple times and puking after dreaming of a swerving car. That was kind of like my signal that I should get up because I needed to puke.

Second time I went over my limit. Don’t plan on going over again anytime soon.

It’s a bad place to be. I finally got the last bit of alcohol out of my system at around noon. Slept like a baby after that.

The whole of that day (after I got up at around 4pm) was spent writhing in uncomfortableness. Probably acid reflux again – like what happened after Centurion.

So I’m fine now. Went out with Daniel and Ariel for a 4 hour conversation lunch yesterday at Pyramid and then met up with Eugene in the evening.

I love catching up with people. If I haven’t spoken to you in a while, call me!

Anyhoo, it’s about 10 minutes past kickoff (see how much I care about you guys?)

I’m off to watch the game. YNWA!

So we leave the house in 35 minutes. Yeah, I’m flying off to Miri for about 4 days for a cousin’s wedding.

Stayed up all night so I could be prepared and stuff in time. I seem to do that for all my flights nowadays.

So yeah, I’m all ready to go. Just waiting for everyone else.

Maybe I should grab something to eat. I should. Okay, I will.

PAUSES THE POST.

Okay, so I’m currently downstairs with my coffee and things. Still no sign of anyone.

25 minutes till we leave the house.

So yeah, the last time we went to Miri, I got a room to myself which was good.

Normally, whenever we go to either Kuching or Sibu to visit my grandparents, we have to settle with all of us sleeping in the same room which usually means that me and my sister would be sleeping on mattresses on the floor.

Hope I still manage to get that room again (it has a balcony).

So once again I slept really really late (or early) one/two days ago. I went to bed at about 8-9am yesterday morning and woke up at around 7 in the evening.

Baaaaaad idea. Which is what drove me to the idea of staying up.

I’ll probably end up falling asleep on the plane anyway. Or maybe I’ll watch Community! : D

Oh, ew. I just bit into a bun and it was filled with coconut. Seriouslyyyy, why would you do this to me?

And and, I think there might be a lot more cakes(you) that I had imagined.

Usually, whenever I check the statistics the number of views peaks at about 20 or so.

But a couple of days ago – after I made the last update – there were 79(SEVENTY NINE) views in a single day!

Anyhoo, I’ve been instructed to go and make Milo for my family. 11 minutes till leaving time.

So it was Christmas yesterday. So Happy Boxing Day everyone!

Had a few old friends come over and we played some drinking games up in my room. Fun fun times.

With many of the usuals having plans already, I thought that there wouldn’t be much drinking going on.

I was so wrong. Had like 3-4 rounds of ‘Cross the River’ so yeah. Got pretty wasted.

Lets see. Christmas prezzies.

I got L’OCCITANE cologne from ze parents. Scarf from the sister (omg, ikr i finally have a scarf!). Aaaaand a jersey from mah uncle.

That’s about it I guess. Christmas well spent.

Soooo Boxing Day. Met up with Dan to watch the match at Tanjung after dinner at home. Frustrating again – as usual.

Went to Taipan to play pool afterwards and then Sheryl shows up! Hoooray, haven’t seen some people in ages.

Should get around to meeting up with them sometime soon. Heh, Dan reckons the three of us should do a cover.

I think we might.

Okay, itching to watch more Community now.

Also, I’ve noticed I’ve been writing journal-ish entries lately. Shall reflect some time soon.

Yes, its been a veeeerrry long time since I last updated you guys. I’ve  decided I should split up the events that occurred since into different posts.

I’ll start with today.

Sooooo, I backed up into someone else’s car today in a parking lot. After about 10 minutes circling around the same floor, I became desperate.

I’d just missed the turn when I saw a guy walking towards his car (clearly he was leaving). The area seemed relatively empty at the time and last time I checked, there were no cars around me.

So I quickly backed up so I could turn in to get the spot. And yeah, I guess you know the rest.

I figured I’d give you guys something to look at. That’s his car.

And this is my car.

I can’t say this enough – please stop driving Malaysian cars.

Well I was supposed to meet up with KenHo for lunch at 1U but convinced him to follow me to see the mechanic with the guy.

Aaaaand, it turns out that they know each other. The guy was KenLi’s high school friend. Coolio.

Anyway, he wasn’t very hostile and just by looking at his person – he seemed pretty chill (about life).

The mechanic at Perodua estimated RM2,400 (AUD$800) and 2 weeks to repair the car.

Fucking load of bullshit.

He (the mechanic) wanted to replace everything. Bonet – which was only slightly bumped. I can understand the bumper though. That was pretty wrecked.

Replace the front headlamp? Suck-a-dick. He found some reason. And even after replacing all these parts, he wanted to charge an additional RM400 for ‘Knocking & Adjusments’.

Seriously. With everything brand new, what more do you need to knock and adjust. Plus another RM600 for spray and polish.

Fucking get a job that pays you a decent amount so you don’t have to depend on deals like this to make money.

So the decision is to take him to a mechanic that I know near my house tomorrow morning and settle the bill there and then.

Hopefully it will be a lot less than RM2.4k.

Aaah, ranting is fun. I like this.

Anyway, I need to get up early tomorrow. He wants to meet up at 9am.

But there’s a game going on at 4am later…and I really want to watch :/

Decisions decisions. Told my dad to wake me up at 8am just in case – because you all know my problem.

Hmmm..might stay up. Actually, my mind has already decided for me. I’m staying up (:

Okay, I really should have started packing earlier than I did. I never knew I had so much stuff.

Pulled an all nighter two nights ago just because I didn’t feel like going to bed. That night was pretty productive.

I’m almost finished with that song I mentioned quite some time ago.

More importantly, I finally used that happy melody I made up and completed a new song within 2 hours.

Oyea. I did it. The lyrics came rather naturally which makes me thing that there might really be something wrong with me.

I think it’s time I wrote a love song. So far I have songs about:

• a female serial rapist who deceives men
• constantly thinking about food
• having sex with a clown

• my asshole friend
• chillin’ on new years day
• the ten commandments
• how I suck at dota
• convincing my friends to get into a blender

So yeah, I think it’s about time to add a lovey-dovey one to that list.

The second night (last night), however, was horrible. Stayed up all night packing and packing. Felt good and looked as though I was almost done at like 5am. Played dota till 7am.

Then I started feeling like shit. No matter how much I packed, my room would still look the same – bits of stuff lying everywhere.

Fatigue got to me. Was too tired to concentrate on packing and I had a couple of hours left to pack up what was an endless mess of things.

So I decided just to (slightly neatly) chuck everything outside so Broden could ‘grade’ my room.

Then I fell asleep.

Woke up at 4-ish and packed up the rest of my stuff and organized it a little more. You should’ve seen how messy it all was.

I only remembered to take a picture after I had brought all my stuff downstairs.

The rain didn’t help at all. Soooooooooo annoying.

Took forever to bring my stuff around cos I had so many bags.

So then I end up stuffing my extra stuff in Wadham Basement and bringing everything else up to Dani’s apartment.

By then it was already dinner time. I had my Shin Ramyun from Richard a couple nights before. Dani and KC went down for dinner.

Apparently it was only ‘okay’ so KC brought back a plate of it and decided to smother it in Katsu Curry.

Soooooooo yummm. And I decided to finish my almost empty bottle of Baileys.

Found two sachets of Milo on the counter and yeah. Baileys Milo Sex.

So everything’s all packed up now. KC and Dani have to leave the apartment at 7am tomorrow – 3 hours time.

Which means that I’ll have to migrate to the JCR and then convince PC to get me a room in Greycourt.

Okay. Sleep deprived me is going to sleep on the couch with an endless fluff of pillows.

Rather uneventful day today. Stayed up all night last night watching soccer and then Black Books. Need to watch more of that soon.

British accents make everything better.

So yeah, haven’t really slept properly in a while. Been having small naps here and there but that’s about it.

Just got back from watching Liverpool-Chelsea not too long ago. I think I lost a bit of my voice celebrating the goal.

It most definitely wasn’t a ludicrous display if you know what I mean.

Should really go to bed now. Want to wake up for lunch but seems unlikely. Oh well, I have pizza.
